Christina School District offers seven Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways designed specifically for middle school students, providing a foundational introduction to the more advanced opportunities available at the high school level.

Delaware is one of 45 states that have formally adopted the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in K-12 English Language Arts and Mathematics.  These standards define the knowledge and skills students should have within their K-12 education careers so that they will graduate high school able to succeed in entry-level, credit-bearing academic college courses and in workforce training programs.

Christina School District is working to fully implement the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for English Language Arts (ELA). The key points of ELA include reading, writing, speaking and listening, language, and media and technology.

In grades 6-8, students begin a more in-depth exploration of life science, physical science, and earth science in middle school. Students continue to explore scientific concepts and phenomena that began in the elementary grades with more in-depth investigations and scientific reasoning using the OpenSciEd curriculum.

Delaware social studies standards for grades 6–8 are organized into four core content areas: Civics, Economics, Geography, and History. These cumulative standards build foundational skills for active citizenship, historical analysis, and regional economic understanding
